ABOUT ABOUT

This is a chance to discuss the election of Philly’s next mayor and what it means to the tech/creative/small business community.  As a community, we’ve had success working with the Nutter administration to get a number of things done including the StartupPHL Seed/Angel funds, the Idea Grant fund,  some tax incentives, etc. and have worked closely with the Commerce department and their team dedicated to supporting entrepreneurship in Philadelphia.  The mayor himself has been very active in attending and supporting events across the city.  So what's next?

With the upcoming election,  we need to make sure we don’t lose this momentum and that we continue to drive progress with the next mayor and his/her administration.  This discussion, facilitated by Bob Moul, will help formulate our thoughts on where the City can continue to be helpful in fostering an environment for starting and growing businesses in Philly.

We have been offered a number of platforms to have our views heard by the candidates.  Technically Philly is hosting a forum with the candidates on April 20th during Tech Week where we can interact directly with them, present ideas, and hear their views on supporting the community going forward.  This town hall we be a great precursor for the April forum.

*This is a free event, please register so that we know how many people are attending*
