ABOUT ABOUT

Every winter, Philly Startup Leaders hosts our annual conference, Founder Factory. The goal of the conference is to help founders build better startups, leave with actionable advice, and bring together the entrepreneur community. This year, in addition to our main event on Thursday, December 8th, we will be hosting a Diversity Dinner on Wednesday, December 7th, from 5:30 to 8:30 PM at Bok.

In partnership with Mogulette, PSL will host this newly created event as an opportunity to address the diversity gap in Philadelphia’s tech community and within the Nation. The dinner will allow participants to discuss challenges, obstacles, share best practices, and celebrate the opportunities of underrepresentation in the tech world. The agenda for the dinner will include curated stories and then breakout conversations lead by various community leaders qualified to lead discussions around this topic.

About Mogulette: Driven by the mantra that “in order to ‘see’ yourself, you have to ‘see’ yourself ”, Mogulette was created to address the lack of diversity in technology through the infusion of mentoring and education of young ambitious women who desire to participate, create, and start businesses in tech.

With a particular focus on women of color, for over two years, Mogulette has offered a collaborative women in tech networking reception in partnership with Girl Develop IT, and provided speaking opportunities where successful women leaders in tech have been able to share personal stories, advice, strategies and contacts, to ultimately help young women develop skills to better navigate the tech industry.
