This is a chance to discuss the election of Philly’s next mayor and what it means to the tech/creative/small business community.
The purpose of this meeting is to take the input from the first town hall and get it down to specific, actionable recommendations that we can then communicate to the candidates. One area in particular I think we should explore is how the City and the tech/creative community could work more closely together (giving full credit to all the initiatives already out there) to help address some of the challenges in the Philly school district. Please register for a ticket as we need everyone’s names to get through building security.
Technically Philly is hosting a forum with the candidates on April 20th during Tech Week where we can interact directly with them, present ideas, and hear their views on supporting the community going forward. This town hall we be a great precursor for the April forum.
