ABOUT ABOUT

PSL University Presents “Taking the Plunge: Getting Serious About Your Startup Idea”

Founding a startup is a hard decision and a huge undertaking!   Do you have what it takes to make this type of commitment?

In this session of PSL University, you’ll hear from local entrepreneurs who left promising careers to take a big risk and start something new.   Why did they do it?  What motivated them initially, and what keeps them going?  How did they make the decision to ‘take the plunge’ and what bumps did they hit along the way?  Come get inside the minds of these local startup leaders and hear their stories firsthand.

Speakers:
Chris Cera, Co-founder of Vuzit, Founder of ArcWeb
Tedd Mann, Founder of SnipSnap
Robert J. Moore, Founder of RJMetrics
Gabe Weinberg, Founder of DuckDuckGo

The free event will be held at Venturef0rth and pizza/beer will be in ample supply.  Networking starts at 6:30 and the event will start at 7.  Space will be limited.

Building a startup is hard, so let’s do this right.  Please complete this survey before the event.  Preference will be given to attendees who are serious enough to “take the plunge” and are considering a move to entrepreneurship.

Following the event, we intend to build a community based support team for a select group of participants.  Interested attendees may have the opportunity to receive free mentorship from the speakers and other local startup leaders.  The 90 day intensive mentorship program will be designed to help participants shape and validate their startup ideas and prepare to “take the plunge” for themselves.
